Andy Reid Still Needs To Do A Better Job
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia is having a good time with Chip Kelly. After losing three straight, the Eagles have won two in a row, are scoring points, and everyone seems to be happy with the Eagles head coach at the moment.
Still, I can't help but take some time to acknowledge our old friend, Andy Reid.
Reid's Chiefs, after going 2-14 last season, are 6-0 after yesterday's win over the Raiders. They've played a mostly easy schedule, but 6-0 is 6-0.
Still, Reid is going with the old hits at press conferences.
"I'll give credit to [Raiders head coach] Dennis [Allen]," Reid said, via our friends at Arrowhead Pride. "I thought Dennis called a good game on the defensive side. They did a good job of rolling their coverages and their secondary looks. I've got to do a better job with helping with the calls."
Better job! He still says better job!
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles, long a source of "why doesn't he get more touches!" angst among Chiefs fans, did have 22 carries, and leads NFL running backs in receptions.
Missing you (but not really), Big Red.
