Andy Reid Delighted With Eagles' 34-24 Win Over Texans
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eagles head coach Andy Reid says he's pleased with his team's comeback win on Thursday night over the Houston Texans.
At his weekly day-after-the-game news conference, Reid said he was delighted with the way his team responded with two touchdowns in the final period after falling behind in the third quarter (see related story).
"What a great fourth quarter," Reid said. "Third quarter, they were able to maintain the football and had some long drives there. Fourth quarter, our guys just buckled down."
Reid also praised the leadership of quarterback Michael Vick.
"He's not afraid to challenge people, and people aren't offended by him challenging them, the way he presents it. And there is a fine line there," Reid said.
Reid adds that there are still mistakes that need to be addressed. One of his biggest concerns was the 11 penalties his team committed in the victory.
On the injury front, right tackle Winston Justice has a hyperextended knee, but an MRI showed that the knee is structurally sound. Reid said he would not have been able to practice today had the Eagles been working out.
The coach has now given the team five days off. The Eagles' next game is December 12th, at Dallas.
