Analysis: High-Profile Battle Among Democrats For Pa. Attorney General

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)- A week from tomorrow is the Pennsylvania primary, and two Democrats are making a lot of noise with an old and bitter feud in the middle.
It's desperation time in the one race that has captivated the Democratic party. Former Congressman Patrick Murphy, with support from insiders at the Obama White House, runs against Kathleen Kane, with support from Bill Clinton. And you thought the Obama-Clinton rivalry was over.
In 2007, Murphy was one of the first politicians to endorse Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton. Bill Clinton has never forgotten that. And, Clinton showed up to campaign for Kane this past week, while key White House advisers said the President wanted Murphy to win and run against Republican David Freed in November.
Both candidates will spend over $4.5-million together to face an unopposed Republican candidate David Freed, in November. But, here's the problem: Kane has received a loan from her husband, while Murphy has financed through labor and a scrappy fund raising machine. Both have spent a lot more than they have taken in.
Someone is going to be hard hit for cash at the end of this one. At this point it's turning out to be the most expensive race for Attorney General in Pennsylvania.
