Analysis: First GOP Debate Had No Real Winner Or Loser
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - So what's the read on the first GOP debate? The outcome, according to KYW Special Contributor Larry Kane, was hard to figure.
There was no real winner or loser because there was no real debate on who would be the best candidate to take on Barack Obama, who was the most talked about person at the New Hampshire forum.
The political target was all Obama, all the time. There was a first, Michelle Bachmann first to officially announce on live broadcast that she is candidate for President.
TV and broadcast wise, the experienced conservative Rick Santorum looked in command, but so did Mitt Romney. Libertarian Ron Paul seemed to have the most energy.
Any news made? Not really, but there was one person missing. Jon Huntsman, former Ambassador to China says he won't debate until he formally decides to run. Democratic insiders have been telling us for months that the White House fears Huntsman the most.
