Amber Alert Issued For Parental Abduction In Center City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Pennsylvania State Police has issued an Amber Child Abduction Alert for the Philadelphia Police Department.

Philadelphia police are searching for Kanief Dandy, a 19-month-old black male with black hair, brown eyes, 32 inches in length and 30 pounds. He was wearing black jeans and a red thermal shirt with gray sleeves.

He was last seen at 1515 Arch Street in Philadelphia on October 5th at 4 p.m.

He was abducted by his mother Natia Dandy, 34-year-old black female, with brown hair, brown eyes, 5'6" tall and 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white sweater and a black scarf on her head.

Police say Dandy ran off with her son during a supervised visit at a Department of Human Services office near City Hall.

The toddler was in custody of the DHS, police said.
