Missing Delaware Kids Found Safe, Gold Alert Issued For Mom

SMYRNA, Del. (CBS) – What began as an Amber Alert for two missing kids in Delaware now turns into a search for the children's mother.

Delaware State Police have located two young chldren they had been searching for. They were found with their father and are reported to be safe and in good condition. An Amber Alert was issued Saturday afternoon and canceled later in the night.

The two kids -- four-year-old Colette Hamilton and four-month-old Cortez Hamilton Jr., along with their mother, 35-year-old Keisha Hamilton, were last seen at their residence in the Twin Willows Development at 113 E. Cayhill Lane around 10 p.m.

The kids were found with their father, Cortez Hamilton Sr., at a traffic stop.

Keisha is still missing and Troopers continue to search for her whereabouts. A gold alert has been issued. She is a black female approximately 5'6" and 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are not saying at this time if the father is somehow involved in her disappearance.
