Allen Iverson Elected Into Hall Of Fame
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The six-foot guard from Georgetown -- number three -- Allen Iversonnnn.
It's official. Allen Iverson is a Hall Of Famer.
Iverson ranks 23rd in NBA history with 24,368 points, has 11 all-star appearances (two-time MVP), was the 2001 NBA MVP, and reached the NBA Finals during the 2000-01 season. His 26.7 points per game average is seventh best in NBA history.
Shaquille O'Neal, Jerry Reinsdorf, Sheryl Swoopes, Yao Ming, and Tom Izzo were also inducted into the basketball Hall Of Fame.
The Class of 2016 will be inducted in Springfield, Massachusetts, on September 8-10th.
