Two Dead And One Critically Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash On I-95 In Bensalem

BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) - Pennsylvania state police at the Trevose barracks say they are continuing to investigate a fatal crash on I-95 that claimed two lives and left one person hospitalized.
State police at the Trevose barracks say they are still uncertain as to why a southbound car operated by a 19-year-old Philadelphia woman, identified as Carlee Tran, lost control, struck the median guard rail and became airborne in the northbound lanes along I-95 in Bensalem early Saturday night resulting in her death.
Police say after Tran's vehicle wound up in the north bound lanes of I-95, her car was struck by two oncoming northbound vehicles, a Dodge van and a Volvo.
The 51-year-old driver of the Dodge van, which was hit by Tran's car after it landed, has been identified by state troopers as Brian McHugh of Pennington, New Jersey. McHugh was killed instantly.
After the first two cars collided, the Volvo then slammed into the wreck. The 49-year-old driver of that car has been identified as Frances Jellyman of Newtown, Bucks County. He remains hospitalized with serious injuries at St. Mary hospital.
