After Three Years, Reward Offered In Murder Of Matt Novack
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Three years after the murder of a South Jersey man, Philadelphia police are hoping a reward will help them track down his killers.
Matthew Novak Sr. is still hoping someone will step forward with information on the three men who killed his son.
Three years ago Wednesday, Matt Novak, 24, of Mullica Hill went to the Puerto Rican Day parade in Philadelphia. When his friend's car wouldn't start, he got into a car with three men in search of jumper cables.
Detectives say those men took Matt to 13th and Fairmount, where he was fatally shot in the hip.
Matthew Novack Sr. stood with Philadelphia police Wednesday and appealed for the public's help.
"There's three murderers out there that have probably done it before and will probably do it again if they haven't already," Novack Sr. said.
The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $21,000 reward. There's more information on the case at www.whokilledmattnovak.com.
