After Four Years, The Murders Of Four Atlantic City Prostitutes Remain Unsolved
Philadelphia (CBS) – Four years ago Saturday the bodies of four Atlantic City prostitutes were found lying in a drainage ditch behind a string of seedy motels just outside of town. To this day, their killer remains at large although one man, who became publically linked to the case early on, still has a cloud of suspicion hanging over his head.
Prosecutors in Atlantic County would dispute contentions that the case has gone cold. In fact, more investigators were put on the probe into the murders of Barbara Breidor, Molly Dilts, Kim Raffo and Tracy Roberts a year ago and there's state and federal help as well.
But then, there's Terry Oleson, the Salem County man held for months on unrelated charges, who while never named a suspect, was questioned and his property seized, including two cars.
His attorney, James Leonard, says the county now wants someone to pick that stuff up, "Sign for it and it's yours. You can have it back and presumably have a nice life while you're at it."
Leonard would like a statement from prosecutors formally clearing Oleson of any involvement, but Prosecutor Ted Housel won't do that saying, "We're here to investigate and solve this case."
