AC's Casino Revenues Up By 3.6 Percent In October

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., (CBS) -- Casino revenues in Atlantic City were up last month, although the numbers could be seen by some as a little misleading.
It's the fourth time in the last five years that those numbers actually went up. In this case 3.6 percent, and Casino Control Commission chairman Matt Levinson will take it.
"Any increase is certainly encouraging and I hope that we will continue to see this improvement in the monthly revenues throughout the rest of the year," Levinson said.
And Levinson says had some casinos not had a bad month at the tables the numbers might be even higher. Some analysts will suggest the better numbers have more to do with Mother Nature than Lady Luck, give Hurricane Sandy forced the casinos to close for several days last year.
Levinson downplays plays and reminds people those shutdowns stretched into November.
