Accused East Camden Drug Dealer Recaptured After Missing His Trial
By David Madden
CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) -- Sheriff's deputies in Camden have tracked down a man wanted for skipping out on drugs and weapons charges from last year.
Now, he's back behind bars.
Alexander Pagan was awakened from a sound sleep in his East Camden home and promptly placed in handcuffs.
Capt. John Fetzer with the Camden County sheriff's office says it appears Pagan was still in business.
"He also had another firearm on him and a fairly large quantity of heroin, so he was essentially doing the same thing he was originally arrested for," Fetzer says.
There was no bail set last year when the original charges were filed. Pagan skipped out on his trial two weeks ago, and a bench warrant was issued.
His bail on the new charges has been set at $150,000.
