ACCT Philly Shelter Hits Full Capacity, Asks People To Adopt Their Animals
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thousands of dogs and cats end up at ACCT Philly every month. This week the shelter hit its full capacity once again which means that many animals are at risk of being put down.
To help save dogs and cats from being euthanized, ACCT is inviting people to come to the shelter on West Hunting Park Avenue and consider adopting one of the animals.
To further encourage adoptions, ACCT has waived the adoption application fee for large breed dogs Sunday and Monday.
Then on June 18 and 19, all pet adoptions will be free as part of the "Who's Your Daddy" event to help celebrate Father's Day.
As a reminder all dog adoptions are just $15 and cats are only $10 throughout June.
