Accident Involving NJ Transit Bus, Vehicle Along I-295 SB Near Florence Township
FLORENCE Twp., N.J., (CBS) -- Chopper 3 over the scene of an accident involving a New Jersey Transit bus and a vehicle on Interstate 295 near Florence Township, Burlington County.
The accident was reported around 4:15 p.m. Friday at I-295 southbound at mile 48.1.
New Jersey State Police tell Eyewitness News a New Jersey Transit bus had a collision with a car on the southbound side of the highway.
The bus reportedly went through the guard rail and down an embankment.
State Police say three New Jersey Transit employees, including the bus driver, were on board the bus at the time of the accident. They say a few minor injuries were reported, but no one on the bus was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Traffic was backed up for several miles.
