Atlantic City Casino Launches Daily Fantasy Sports
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) – The worlds of fantasy sports and casino gambling have collided in a new venture by Resorts Casino in Atlantic City.
This week their online gaming team rolled out Fastpick.com where you pick real life sports players to win money.
"Fastpick is what we're calling the next generation of daily fantasy sports where we provide head-to-head player match ups in a simplified easy to form, easy to understand fashion," explained Resorts marketing consultant Anton Dobrosevic on Tuesday, while demonstrating the site for Eyewitness News inside the casino's I-gaming lounge.

This is the first attempt by an Atlantic City casino to offer wagers on Daily Fantasy Sports.
Unlike other DFS sites where you have a budget to draft players in a tournaments against other people, Fastpick pits you against the house.
You must get at least 3 head-to-head player matchups right to win a 5 to 1 payout.
The sports players competing against each other are expected to have similar fantasy production on a given day so it's kind of like trying to get 3 coin flips right.

The fun part for fantasy sports fans is using your sports knowledge to predict which players will perform better that day.
"Where Fastpick is different is there are no salary caps, no rosters and essentially no sharks. You don't need to be a sports statistician to play at Fastpick.com to gain a competitive edge," says Dobrosevic.
But you must be 21 years old and place your bet in New Jersey to play.
According to the company the website and the in-person opportunities to play Fastpick at Resorts are expected to expand in time for the start of the NFL reason.
