AAA Sees NJ Gas Price Hike Continuing Into April
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — There's good news and bad news in the latest figures on gas prices released by AAA Mid-Atlantic.
While gas prices have been rising nationwide lately, prices at the pump in New Jersey remained steady compared to a week ago.
The organization also says New Jersey's average price of $3.37 per gallon is 10 cents below what it was a year ago. Nationally, the average is $3.54, up 11 cents in the last month and up 36 cents since mid-November. AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price at the pump has increased on 46 of the last 49 days.
Experts say the upward trend in prices is normal for this time of year as refineries change over to more expensive summer blended gasoline. They expect prices to rise into April.
