AAA Predicts Less Pain At The Pump In 2013

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – AAA is predicting less pain at the pump this year.
An uptick in oil production and a drop in consumer demand will combine to push gas prices down, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic's Jenny Robinson.
"We are looking at an average price of gasoline peaking between $3.60 to $3.80 per gallon, assuming no significant events getting in the way of that, compared to our peak price of $3.94 a gallon nationally in 2012," Robinson explains.
Robinsons says costs have been trending down with one recent exception.
"Right now, Philly's five county area gas average is $.349 a gallon and it's up only a penny from last week," he says.
Look for prices to bottom out nationally around $3.20 sometime this summer.
