AAA: More Travelers Driving This Memorial Day Weekend, Likely Due To Low Gas Prices
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – If you're hitting the road this Memorial Day weekend, you're not alone.
AAA says 90 percent of holiday travelers in the Philadelphia region, or about 400,000 people, will be driving to their destinations – a five percent increase from last year.
Some experts say that's because gas prices are at their lowest in five years.
An average gallon of regular in New Jersey costs about $2.47.
In Delaware, drivers are paying about $2.61 per gallon.
Price in Pennsylvania are the highest in the area, but they're still only at $2.86 per gallon.
