AAA Mid-Atlantic: NJ Gas Prices Down Slightly
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Motorists are seeing slightly lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline on Friday was $3.38, down a penny from last week. But it's still much higher than a year ago, when New Jersey motorists were paying $2.63.
Meanwhile, the national average price rose by two cents t0 $3.56. That's also much higher than the national average from a year ago, which was $2.81.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says pump prices in New Jersey have remained relatively stable over the past two weeks despite the volatile crude oil market, which continues to fluctuate daily due to the tumultuous situation in Libya and other global concerns, including Japan's ongoing recovery from the recent earthquake
