AAA Mid-Atlantic: New Jersey Gas Prices Remain Stable
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Motorists are still seeing stable prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in New Jersey on Friday was $3.40, the same price as the last two weeks. It's also more than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.34.
Meanwhile, the national average price fell by 4 cents to $3.59. That's also higher than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.47.
Analysts say supply and production issues, rather than the price of crude oil, have driven gasoline markets in recent weeks.
