I bet if we told you to think of something that's both terrifying and vintage, creepy dolls and your parents' prom pictures would be the first two things to pop into mind.
But, what if we told you about something older and even more terrifying than those vintage pictures?
Just imagine one of the first penitentiaries in the country, where prisoners were held in solitary confinement for their entire stay, getting turned into a haunted house for Halloween (told ya there was something scarier than seeing your mom with a mullet).
Philly, it's time to welcome back Eastern State Penitentiary's Terror Behind the Walls, the annual haunted house within a prison that is back yet again. For all you Philadelphians who somehow haven't been in the 24 years of this haunted houses' existence (seriously, how have you not gone yet?), this year you'll get to go through six terrifying attractions, including a brand new one.

So what are these six attractions? First you'll experience Detritus and Lock Down, where you'll roam through the pitch black, abandoned original cellblocks. The next stop is the Infirmary, where you'll tour through the prison hospital and see where experimental procedures were performed on real live inmates. After the Infirmary, head over to The Experiment, where you'll view some terrifying 3-D illusions. Next, head to the Night Watch and find your way out of a maze, while being chased by crazies, in complete and total darkness. Then, experience the all new Machine Shop, where you'll go deep beneath the cell blocks and explore the long forgotten haunted machine shop.
