A Muggy Start To The Work Week
By Geoff Bansen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As we start off a new work week, the muggy, summer-like weather will continue for a few more days, but changes are on the way.
Monday will have clouds and some sun, but scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will fire up by the afternoon. Highs inland will hit the low 80s. During the afternoon, an east wind will increase, significantly cooling off shore points; keep this in mind if you happen to have three-day weekend and want to sneak down to the beach for some quick rays!
Tuesday will be similar. A cold front will swing through during the day, so the threat for showers and thunderstorms will be around once again. Neither day will be a washout, and there will be some sun, so outdoor plans are a go -- just be on the lookout for pop-up showers.
Behind that front will be weather much more typical for spring - lower humidity, cooler temperatures, and plenty of sunshine.
