A Midweek Weather Break
By Geoff Bansen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After a cloudy and cool start to the week due to a coastal low, much of the region should see some sunshine return today, with a bit of a warm-up as well. There will be clouds around, but it won't be as gray as the last two days.
As the aforementioned coastal low pressure pulls away, we await the arrival of the next system from the west. A cold front currently moving through the Midwest will arrive later tomorrow. The majority of Thursday will me warm, humid and dry. The timing of this front should bring it through during the evening, with showers and thunderstorms (some of which could be severe) possible. Once that moves, it will make for very pleasant conditions on Friday. However, the front will sort of stall to the south and allow another wave of energy to move up it later on Saturday. Early sunshine will give way to clouds and showers by the afternoon. Any wet weather should clear out on Sunday.
