911 Up And Running After Blackout In Several Areas In Lower Bucks County

BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) - The 911 system is back up and running in lower Bucks County after being down for several hours.

Around 6pm, a problem arose with a verizon switch, preventing tens of thousands of people from being able to connect with 9-1-1.

The 9-1-1 blackout was affecting Bensalem, Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Falls Township and Middletown Townships. The following telephone exchanges were also affected: 752, 949,785,633 and 637.
