7-Year-Old Girl Injured In Oxford Circle Hit-And-Run Accident
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A 7-year-old girl was injured in a hit-and-run accident in Oxford Circle Thursday.
The incident happened at about 3:34 p.m. in the 6200 block of Large Street near McKinley Street.
Chopper 3 HD was over the scene.
Police say they are searching for a white female around 5-foot-4 in her 30s driving a white SUV that may be a Kia.
Witnesses say after the driver hit the girl she stopped, got out of her vehicle, looked at the 7-year-old, got back into her SUV and drove off.
Officials says the girl was transported to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in stable condition with a broken femur in her left leg. Her family says she is okay but will need surgery.
Police are investigating the incident.
