8 People Arrested After Fight Breaks Out At South Jersey Hotel
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – Eight people were arrested in Blenheim Township after a fight broke out at a hotel early Monday morning.
The incident happened at the HoJo Inn on the Black Horse Pike at 1:34 a.m., where officers where officers were called about a fight involving about 30 people.
Upon the officers' arrival, multiple cars were seen attempting to flee the scene. An investigation was conducted of the occupants of the vehicles, as well as of the third floor of the hotel.
Eight people were arrested in total and charged with offenses including possession of a controlled substance, hindering apprehension and outstanding warrants.
Ashlie Brown and Elena Court, of Gloucester Township, and Yushika Taplin, of Camden, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, hindering apprehension and outstanding warrants. Trevor Carter, of Camden, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Lachelle Carter, of Camden; Brandon Bagwell, of Erial; and Waverly Curry, of Philadelphia; were arrested for outstanding warrants. All of the arrested were taken to Camden County Correctional Facility.
Shermaine Carter, of Clementon, and Shakema Alford, of Camden, were also arrested and released.
