7 Minors, 1 Adult Charged In Sexual Assault Of Juvenile

LOWER TWP., N.J. (CBS) - Seven juveniles and one adult have been arrested in Lower Township, Cape May County after the sexual assault of another juvenile.
The Cape May County Prosecutor and Lower Township police say it happened Friday, March 15th in a section known as Rutherford Tract in a wooded area.
Authorities say the juvenile was sexually assaulted and physically abused. The victim was taken to the Cape Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained during the attack.
On Friday, March 22nd, criminal charges were filed against the seven minors and 18-year-old Brittany Hearon of Lower Township.
The suspects face first degree aggravated sexual assault, second degree endangering the welfare of a child, conspiracy and related charges.
