6 Rescued, Including Infant, From House Fire In Germantown
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Firefighters rescued six people, including an infant, from a Germantown home after flames broke out overnight. Investigators are trying to see if it's related to a recent fire next door.
Flames broke out around one in the morning at a home on East Coulter Street, between Germantown Avenue and Lena Street.
Authorities say there was a fire on the first floor and six people, including a three-month old, were trapped on the back porch.
Firefighters got them out, and a woman and the infant were taken to the hospital for evaluation. The blaze placed under control quickly.
The Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the blaze and is seeing if there is a connection to a recent fire right next door.
It was on December 1st when crews put out flames on the front porch. Officials say it an ongoing dispute that led to a possible firebombing.
