6 Shot During Basketball Game In Southwest Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Six people have been rushed to an area hospital after a shooting at a basketball game in Southwest Philadelphia Monday evening, according to police.
It happened a little before 9 p.m. at the Kingsessing Recreational Center near 51st Street and Chester Avenue.
Police said the gunman opened fire during halftime where nearly 500 people were watching the game.
According to authorities, four of the victims, including three males and a female, are listed in stable condition after receiving gunshot wounds to their legs. Police said the sixth victim, a male, is in critical condition after receiving a gunshot wound to the stomach area.
All are recovering at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
No arrests have been made at this time and there is no word on a possible motive.
Philadelphia Police continue to investigate this shooting.
