6 Homes Damaged In West Philadelphia Fire
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Fire officials are investigating the cause of a blaze that damaged six homes in West Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.
The fire started shortly after 2 a.m. inside a home in the 900 block of N. Markoe Street in the city's Parkside section.
Firefighters were able to place the fire under control in about 30 minutes, but not before the blaze damaged six properties. Two of the homes suffered serious damage. Three of the homes were occupied and three were vacant, officials said.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The Red Cross is assisting three families who were displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under police investigation.
