500 Gallon Propane Leak Impacts Amtrak, SEPTA Travel In Delaware
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) – Amtrak was forced to briefly suspend rail traffic in the Wilmington area while firefighters worked to control a propane leak in an Amtrak yard on the north side of the city.
Authorities said the 500-gallon propane tank leak Wednesday morning was isolated to areas within the Amtrak facility off Vandever Ave. No injuries were reported.
But for precautionary reasons, authorities directed the suspension of Amtrak and SEPTA commuter rail service in the area. Operations were suspended for only a short time until rail service resumed.
There were no reports of any injuries.
