4 Juveniles Arrested In Robbery Of Pizza Delivery Driver In Camden County
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) – Police in Camden County arrested four juveniles for their alleged roles in the robbery of a pizza delivery driver.
The incident began at about 9:30 a.m. in the area of Jarvis Road at Sicklerville Road in Gloucester Township, N.J.
According to investigators, a pizza delivery driver was attempting to make a delivery on Brookshire Road when he was approached by four male juveniles, who advised him that they called and ordered the food.
The suspects told the driver they were unable to pay for the food, and so the driver made another delivery in the complex.
After making that delivery, the driver passed by the juveniles who told him they were now able to pay for the food.
The driver got out of his car and was approached by one of the suspects who began patting his pockets for money, but he told the driver he could not find the cash.
Police say the juvenile then displayed a black handle to a weapon, which the driver believed was a knife, and began staring at him in an intimidating manner.
Fearing for his safety, the driver handed the juvenile the food, which was valued at approximately $60. The four juveniles then ran onto Brookshire Road.
Officers arrived on the scene and found the juveniles eating the stolen food. They were taken into custody without incident.
They have been charged with Robbery and Conspiracy to commit Robbery. They were eventually turned over to the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center.
