4 Children, 2 Adults Die In Pennsylvania House Fire
POTTSVILLE, Pa. (CBS/AP) -- Authorities have identified the four children and two adults killed in an eastern Pennsylvania house fire. A neighbor says the children's mother was doing laundry down the street at her house at the time and survived.
The blaze broke out around 11:55 p.m. Sunday at the home in Pottsville, about 90 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
The Schuylkill County Coroner's office is identifying the victims as 30-year-old Eric Brown; and his children, 2-year-old Elijah Brown; 3-year-old Emily Brown; 7-year-old Jeremiah Brown; and 8-year-old Joy Brown.
Twenty-six-year-year-old Kristina Thomas also died. She's the sister of 28-year-old Kelly Brown, the mother who survived.
A neighbor says Kelly Brown was doing laundry at her house because her washing machine was broken.
They saw smoke and ran to Brown's house, but were unable to rescue the victims.
