Woman Charged With Arson Following 4-Alarm Fire At Delaware Apartment Complex: Officials

BEAR, Del. (CBS) — Delaware State Fire Marshals have arrested a 37-year-year-old woman after determining the fire at an apartment complex Sunday morning was intentionally started.
Teresa C. Locco, of Bear, Delaware, was charged with Arson in the first degree and three counts of Reckless Endangering in the first degree. All charges are felonies.
Firefighters rushed to the Fox Run Apartments on the 2900 block of Squirrel Drive in Bear around 6:00 a.m.
The flames spread to the roof of the three-story building, but the fire was placed under control around 7:30 a.m.

Twenty-four apartment units were damaged in total, but 12 were so badly damaged that they will not be able to be reoccupied.
Residents are displaced, but it is not known how many are without shelter. The apartment's management is working to relocate those residents. The American Red Cross is also helping with recovery efforts.
Officials say that the damage from the heavy fire is expected to exceed $1 million.
