35th President Available 'On Demand'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library has entered into a partnership with Comcast to salute the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Kennedy Presidency.
Comcast customers who go to the 'On Demand' channel and click on 'Top picks' will find a treasure trove of information about Kennedy's campaign and his presidency courtesy of the late president's library.
Diana Kerekes, Vice President of Entertainment Services for Comcast Cable, calls Kennedy the 'first television president' and said it will be a great opportunity to bring the historical content into people's homes. "Fourteen of President Kennedy's most famous speeches. It's every single presidential debate between Kennedy and Nixon. It's 12 films and documentaries. It's Universal news reels,"Kerekes said. "So, it's really being able to bring Kennedy back to life for a generation to relive it and for new generations to see it."
Kerekes said Comcast will keep the special Kennedy tribute section up until February 25th.
