'30 Rock' Star Tina Fey Speaks At Philadelphia Free Public Library
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Actress, writer and comedian Tina Fey spoke to a full house at the Philadelphia Free Public Library at 19th and Vine Streets on Tuesday to promote her new book.
The book is titled Bossy Pants. It's a collection of funny essays about Fey's life, work, marriage and motherhood, and the Upper Darby native brought it on home as she spoke about how her family helped to develop her funny bone:
"In the summer we could stay up and watch old "Burns and Allen," and when "Monty Python" came on Channel 12 when we were kids. I shouldn't have been watching that, but my brother wanted to watch it so, it had boobs in it and stuff like that," said Fey.
Fey made history in 1999 as the first female Head Writer for "Saturday Night Live." Since then, she's done it all, starring in movies and even creating her own comedy series, "30 Rock." (See photos from the event)
Fey is just one of the authors appearing at Philadelphia area libraries as part of the Philadelphia Book Festival, which runs until April 16th.
