3-On Your Side: Fast Food Deals
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- America's love of fast food is taking a hit in this slow economy. A recent survey shows some customers are scaling back trips to fast food restaurants by as much as 20 percent. As a result 3 On Your Side Consumer Reporter Jim Donovan finds that many chains are offering eye popping deals to keep customers coming through the doors.
Whether you want to buy a burger, prefer a pizza or are seeking out a sandwich, fast food chains are dishing up the deals. Starting this Saturday and continuing through the entire month of October, Subway is expanding its $5 FOOTLONG promotion to include any regular FOOTLONG, not just it's monthly featured sandwich.
Over at Pizza Hut they've introduced what's called the "Any Pizza" deal. You can order any pizza, any size, any toppings for delivery, dine-in, or carry out. The cost? $10. Not to be outdone, Dominos has rolled out its artisan pizzas for $7.99 and already offers a $7.99 large carryout pizza deal Monday through Wednesday.
Dairy Queen is promoting $5 mini Blizzard meals, you get a cheese burger, fries, med drink and mini Blizzard. While over at Taco Bell, they're serving up a new chicken flatbread sandwich that costs 99 cents. And don't forget desert, even Burger King is offering a free soft serve cone with the purchase of a value meal.
