3 Injured In Chester Shootings
CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) - Three people were injured in two shootings that happened within minutes of each other in Chester Saturday afternoon.
Police were called out to the 1100 block of Culhane Street a little after 2 p.m. for numerous shots fired. Upon their arrival, they found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his right side, hand and buttock.
A little later, at about 2:30 p.m., officers learned a second victim in that shooting, a 22-year-old man, was dropped off near Crozer Chester Medical Center. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital's emergency center. Both of the victims are in stable condition, according to authorities.
In a second shooting that happened a little after 2:30 p.m., a 13-year-old boy sustained a grazed wound under his left armpit from gunfire on the 400 block of Rose Street.
Officers say the little boy was coming out of his home to help his grandfather wash cars when he was struck. The victim was treated at an area hospital and released.
Police are investigating the motive in these shootings. Details on suspects were not immediately released.
