3 Dead In Salem County Car Crash, Young Boy Hospitalized
OLDMANS Twp., N.J. (CBS) – New Jersey State Police are investigating the cause of a car crash the resulted in the deaths of three people and sent a young child to the hospital.
The accident happened at around 6 P.M., on Interstate 295 in Oldmans Township, Salem County.
Police say, the driver lost control of a Honda Sedan and ended up hitting a tree on the Southbound lanes of Interstate 295 Southbound just north of Exit 7. The impact of the vehicle caused the car to burst into flames, killing three out of the four passengers in the vehicle, according to police.
The three passengers, whose identities have not yet been released, were all believed to be in their 20s. The fourth and only survivor of the accident is a nine-year old boy. He was rushed to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he was listed in stable condition with a broken femur.
