MEDFORD, N.J. (CBS) -- Authorities say 24 people have been injured following an accident involving five school buses in Medford on Monday afternoon.

The accident happened at Tuckerton Road and Lenape Trail just after 4 p.m.

The school buses were transporting campers home from the JCC Camp on Tuckerton Road.

According to school officials, five buses all rear-ended each other.

Authorities say 21 children, 2 bus drivers and one staff member were treated for minor injuries. The injured were transported to Virtua Voorhees and Virtua Mount Holly hospitals.

Sixty-seven campers and 10 staff members were taken off the buses and were then transported back to the JCC Camp on additional buses to be reunified with their families.

"The reunification of campers and their families will take place at the JCC Camps at Medford. Due to Tuckerton Road being closed at this time, parents are advised to access Camp via Stokes Road," officials said.
