3-Alarm Fire Displaces Families In Montgomery Co. Apartment Complex
POTTSTOWN (CBS) -- Luckily no one was injured when a three-alarm fire broke out in a Montgomery County apartment Saturday evening, however 24 families must now find places to stay.
The fire broke out about 6pm Saturday evening, at the Wexford Apartments in the 400 block of Elm Street, and burned for over an hour before being brought under control.
There were no injuries but the damage forced residents to seek shelter at a nearby elementary school. Red Cross volunteers are helping the displaced families get through the night.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
