2nd Suspect Arrested In Philly Triple Killing
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police in Philadelphia say they have arrested a second suspect in a triple killing at a corner grocery store.
Police arrested Nalik Shariff Scott on Saturday. They announced the arrest of Ibrahim Muhammed on Friday. It was not immediately clear if either man has a lawyer.
Police say the men fatally shot three people during an attempted robbery at Lorena's Grocery in the city's Mill Creek section.
Fifty-year-old bodega owner Porfiro Nunez, his 49-year-old wife, Carmen, and 42-year-old Lina Sanchez were killed on Sept. 6. Homicide Capt. James Clark says nothing was taken from the store.
Officials say the break in the case came by linking Muhammed and Scott to an August robbery at another grocery store. Surveillance video from that crime helped generate tips.
