2nd Annual 'Furs Friday' Gallery Exhibit Held In Old City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An art gallery gala Friday night has gone to the dogs, and the cats and the birds.
At the second annual Furs Friday onlookers at the Rosenfeld Gallery in Old City Philadelphia got a chance to see different photographs of four furry friends with their human counterparts.
"It's a celebration of pets and their people and it raises money for our emergency response programs for displaced pets in disasters," said Jen Leary with Red Paw Emergency Relief Team.
Leary says events like this help them work with the Red Cross while trying to help pet owners going through a major catastrophe.
"Last night we reunited a family with their pot belly pig who was displaced by a fire and today we had a response where we did search and rescue for two missing cats from a fire in Darby," said Leary.
Councilman Kenyatta Johnson, Phillies star Chase Utley and pro football Hall of Famer writer Ray Didinger are among some of the famous Philadelphians whose pictures with their pups were on display.
