$25K Reward Offered For Info Leading To Arrests In Holmesburg Armored Car Robbery
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – There is a hefty reward for anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest of the suspects wanted for the robbery of an armored car in Philadelphia's Holmesburg section (see previous story).
The FBI and Garda, the armored car company, is now offering a $25,000 reward.
Surveillance video captured the suspects robbing the car, which was parked outside a Wells Fargo bank on Frankford Avenue, last Friday.
Officials say the thieves, who were wearing Halloween masks and carrying weapons, may have stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars — as much as $350,000 — before speeding off in a green Plymouth Voyager.
The getaway car was later dumped outside a nearby school at 3400 Arthur Street, and the suspects sped off in another vehicle.
Edward J. Hanko, FBI Special Agent in Charge said, "It's obviously a well-planned robbery."
Anyone with information on the suspects should call police.
