Mysterious Shooting In Chester Leaves One Dead And Three Critical

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - One person is dead and three others critically injured after a domestic-related shooting in Delaware County early Sunday morning.
Chester police offers responded to a call at approximately 3:10 a.m. Sunday morning for a shooting with multiple victims near J&S Seafood restaurant in the 800 block of Kerlin Street.
One victim, a 22-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second female was found shot inside the store. The third shooting victim, a 24-year-old male, was found shot about a block away. A fourth victim was found behind the building with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
All three were taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center. The victim with the alleged self-inflicted wound to the head has been moved to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. All three victims are listed in critical condition.
The cause is under investigation although police are not searching for any suspects.

Chester Mayor John Linder is advocating anyone experiencing domestic problems call 610-565-4590 instead of resorting to violence.
At a press conference Sunday morning Chester Police Commissioner Bail stated the area around the J&S Seafood store is a known problem spot for police. He says over the past decade police have responded to 59 calls in this particular area ranging from murders, robberies, to multiple assaults and drugs.
J&S Seafood Restaurant has been closed until further notice by direction of the city and the health department.
