First Storm Of The Season Causes Spinouts And Fender Benders Across The Region
By Mike DeNardo
Philadelphia (CBS) – Drivers are enduring the mess, following the first winter snowstorm of the season.
It was only a couple of inches of snow, but that was enough to send drivers slipping and sliding if they weren't careful.
Bill Lawler of Boothwyn was one of the careful ones. "It's challenging if you're not used to it. You get a sheen on the road when it's so light like this. As long as it doesn't get to the ice crystals, that's when people kind of misjudge what they're doing."
But plenty of drivers did - there were spinout, accidents and fender benders throughout the region, on side streets and on major arteries including I-95, the Schuylkill Expressway, the Northeast Extension and the Blue Route.
