2013 Auto Show In Philadelphia Billed As Biggest Ever

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Pennsylvania Convention Center is loaded with hundreds of gleaming new cars and trucks beginning this weekend.
The 112th edition of the Auto Show is being billed as the biggest ever with a display floor the size of about 11 football fields. There's so much room that some manufacturers now feature indoor ride-arounds.
Kevin Mazzucola, the executive director of the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia says the most elaborate demonstration is known as Camp Jeep.
"There's a Rubicon, there's a Ramble, there's different types of Jeeps and you'll go through an obstacle course; going through a 14 foot high hill that has a 35 percent grade. You're going through logs, terrain, dirt, those types of things to just see that off-road capability," says Mazzucola.
Mercedes Benz and Lexus return to the Grand Hall this year while Ford is emphasizing fuel economy and safety.
Another new feature is the Auto Show Face Off pitting the hottest looking Mustangs against the hottest looking Camaros.
If you plan to go, Mazzucola says allow yourself three to four hours to give yourself time to see everything.
