$20,000 Reward Offered In Shooting Of Philadelphia Officer's Son

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect that gunned down the son of a Philadelphia police officer in West Philadelphia on Monday afternoon.
Police say 24-year-old Dennis Gore was shot multiple times in broad daylight while walking down the street with his girlfriend after leaving a store near 55th and Hunter Streets.
"Another male, described as early 20s, about 5'7 or 5'8, thin build wearing a gray hoodie and a baseball cap approaches him unannounced, no conversation and shoots him multiple times in the chest and flees the area," said Philadelphia Police Lt Ray Evers.
Police say Gore was rushed to an area hospital, where he died. They say the gunman's motives are unclear.
"The complaintant victim has absolutely no police record, he is a working man with two small children. We have no idea on why this occurred."
Now police are asking that anyone with information should contact homicide detectives at 215-686-3334 or by dailing 911.
