PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – In Philadelphia, a city full of museums, every day could easily be Museum Day. But there's one thing you won't be able to get at the city's museums any other day of the year: free admission.
Saturday is Smithsonian Museum Day (also known as Museum Day Live), and in the tradition of Smithsonian Museums' daily free admission, participating museums around the country will also offer free access for visitors.
In the Philadelphia area, 20 museums are participating, including the Penn Museum, the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and the National Museum of American Jewish History. Visitors must download and print their free Museum Day Live ticket and show it at the door in order to enter for free.
