2 Women Killed When Motorcycles, Vehicles Collide In Cumberland County
MAURICE RIVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS/AP) -- The chain reaction crash on Route 347 happened when police say the driver of a Dodge Ram lost control of the pickup truck and swerved into oncoming traffic, hitting two Harley Davidsons.
Police say the crash killed Diane Allen, 53, of Mullica Hill and Robin Ennis, 48, of Deptford. Her husband, Michael Ennis, 53, remains in critical condition after the crash.
State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones says the pickup was northbound on Route 347 in the Cumberland County community of Maurice River Township when it crossed over the center lane and crashed into two southbound motorcycles around 2 p.m. Saturday.
One of the motorcycles was then pushed back into a car traveling behind it, and that car was then rear-ended by a second vehicle.

Ennis was a volunteer EMT and firefighter at the Wenonah Fire Department, where coworkers say he has been helping out the last 5 years.
"He is just a great guy," said Steve Christinzio, an EMT who trained Ennis.
But to those who know him, Ennis is much more than a firefighter. He is a coach, a neighbor, and a friend.
"He is the best neighbor you could have," says Tony Prisco, who has known Ennis and his wife for two decades. "He is always willing to help out."
Friends say Ennis was ready to stop riding. No matter how safe Ennis was on the road, there was no way to guarantee the safety of other drivers. In a flash on Saturday afternoon, his fear became his reality.
State police are still investigating the crash. They have not filed any charges yet against Joseph Moyer, 40, the driver of the Dodge Ram, or anyone else involved in the crash.
